Join Dr Thomas Arkell in an exclusive webinar presented by Medihuanna. Explore the effects of cannabis on driving and the factors that can impact how cannabis affects driving.
Dr. Thomas Arkell is a research fellow at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. His research aims to better understand how cannabis impacts driving and cognition, what factors modulate cannabis effects, and its potential as a therapeutic aid. Dr Arkell conducted the first study evaluating the effects of THC with and without CBD on real world driving performance.
He currently chairs the International Council on Alcohol Drugs and Traffic Safety’s Cannabis and Driving Working Group.
This presentation will:
- Look at the most recent evidence around the effects of cannabis on driving, including evidence from lab studies and epidemiological evidence from the US and Canada.
- Discuss some of the factors that can impact how cannabis affects driving as well as detection times for THC in oral fluid and issues relating to roadside drug testing.
