Dr Thomas Arkell, a research fellow at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in understanding how cannabis impacts driving and cognition, and its potential as a therapeutic aid. Dr Arkell, who conducted the first study evaluating the effects of THC with and without CBD on real-world driving performance, currently chairs the International Council on Alcohol Drugs and Traffic Safety’s Cannabis and Driving Working Group. His research aims to delve into the factors that modulate cannabis effects and to explore its potential therapeutic applications.
