Pastilles are becoming an increasingly prominent oral delivery option in medicinal cannabis prescribing, offering defined dosing, discretion and prolonged cannabinoid exposure. This webinar explores their role in clinical practice, including oral pharmacokinetics, precision dosing, titration, patient selection, adherence and safety. Participants will also examine the evolving evidence for major and minor cannabinoids, distinguishing established clinical evidence from emerging and preclinical findings. Practical patient cases will demonstrate how these principles can inform formulation selection, treatment planning and monitoring.

About the speaker

Dr Joe Kosterich M.B.B.S, a General Practitioner, speaker, author, and health industry consultant, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various facets of the medical field. With regular appearances in the media and often providing opinions in medico-legal cases, Dr Kosterich holds several significant positions, including WA State Medical Director for IPN, Clinical Editor of Medical Forum Magazine, and Medical Advisor to Medicinal Cannabis company Little Green Pharma.

He is also Chairman of the Australian Tobacco Harm Reduction Association, a teacher at both UWA and Curtin Medical schools, and has been involved in postgraduate education for over 20 years.

Dr Kosterich has held senior positions within the Australian Medical Association and participated in numerous industry and government boards.
